Gameplay
WWE SmackDown vs. Raw 2010 will introduce a new Create-a-Superstar Mode, including a fresh look, all-new 3D parts and improved graphical quality, allowing players to create Superstars and Divas who are comparable in quality with their in-game WWE counterparts. Adding to the creative mix, a new Paint Tool will enable detailed creation of tattoos, logos and other unique designs, while a franchise-first Superstar Threads feature will let players create alternate ring gear for Superstars and Divas by customizing the colors of shirts, pants, face paint, elbow pads, boots and more. The game's Create-a-Finisher Mode will now let players create acrobatic and gravity-defying diving attacks from the top turnbuckle, as well as move their creations to new heights by adjusting the trajectory. In addition, the mode will deliver an extensive assortment of new moves from the front grapple position.

Taking creativity even further, WWE SmackDown vs. Raw 2010 will also mark the debut of the WWE Story Designer. In this new mode, players will embrace a directorial role to create and customize their own storylines and cut scenes, including the ability to select talent and scene locations, write their own dialogue, adjust camera angles, select from over 100 scene animations, determine talent emotions and much more. Players will also be able to construct each night's show card with matches, unique match stipulations, interference events and other story twists and turns.

WWE SmackDown vs. Raw 2010 is set to empower players with not only extensive creative freedom but the ability to share their gameplay experiences as well. For the first time in franchise history, the WWE Community Creations interface will enable players to upload their creations online, including created Superstars and Divas, story designs, finishing moves, entrance movies and highlight reels, and share them with others around the world. Players may also download created content via keyword search engine from other users for use both online and off-line. In addition, players will be able to tag their creations with search terms, as well as leave ratings, allowing for ease of use in searching the robust database for the most popular - or even the most obscure - created items.

Additional Gameplay Features
In addition to its extensive creative and online offerings, WWE SmackDown vs. Raw 2010 will include a number of key franchise updates. The WWE Training Facility will provide players with a franchise-first in-game tutorial, making it simple for both longtime fans and newcomers to get helpful gameplay tips and practice moves with their favorite Superstars and Divas. The game's Road to WrestleMania story-based mode, introduced last year to high acclaim by consumers and press alike, returns with interactive cut scenes showcased within six brand new storylines, including a Create-a-Superstar storyline and a Divas storyline. In addition, a robust talent roster will include more than 60 playable Superstars and Divas, many of whom will make their video game debut, as they represent the Raw, SmackDown and ECW brands. A high-profile soundtrack rounds out the gameplay experience, including "Still Unbroken," the new single from Lynyrd Skynyrd's upcoming album, God & Guns, as well as songs from artists such as Skillet, Sick Puppies, Adelita's Way and Trivium.

Summary: "How Many Copies Does WWE Want Me To Keep Buying"

I bought this game the day it came out for the 360 it ain't the best game but it was cool. The it good scratched real easy and no matter how many times I took it to be cleaned or tried to get Game Stop to replace it nothing. Before it was scracthed the game would go into slow motion then freeze. I figured it was just this copy so I bought another one. It wasn't long before It was doing the same. I tried to go online with it but online is worst. You move very slow and the game responds slow to the buttons you just hit about 2 mins. ago. The only real good things about this game is the improved Royal Rumble and the story designer. But when the game keeps freezing for no reason In the middle of you making a story It gets on your nerves. I still think 06 is the best Smackdown game so far.

Summary: "DO NOT BUY"

I am going to attempt to warn anyone thinking of buying WWE vs Smackdown video games. I have owned a few and I have not learned to avoid them because I keep hoping I will get a copy that does not freeze, or glitch. Every game I have bought has either froze, glitched at points, or the cd itself broke somehow (grinding inside my xbox). I know my xbox is not broken as I play other games on it no problem, however for some reason, Smackdown games just never work properly. My latest problem is being unable to complete the wrestlemania stories as the game freezes at the same point each and every time and causes me to restart the xbox. Also, my game will randomly begin to lag, and this is extremely confusing to me since I will not even be plugged into the internet. However, for whatever reason, the game itself lags! I think WWE should just stick to wrestling on tv and not push for their business to turn into video games. I bought about 3 copies (all new) of Smackdown 2009 and they all broke within a month and less of play time. I recently bought Smackdown 2010 and within 4 days, yes 4 days, it broke on me. I do not understand it but I will NEVER purchase wrestling games EVER again. The games are all defective.

Consider yourselves warned.

Summary: "Good stuff..."

The Smackdown Vs. Raw series has always been good gaming for the Playstation 2. The graphics have always been good and unlike some sports games, they have actually made improvements over the years. The 2010 version is probably the best as far as gameplay. WWE and THQ could never make a roster that would satisfy everyone so check out the roster list before purchasing any edition.

The graphics are great on this edition and the hud displays have been made optional for less on screen interference. Instead, your momentum and finishing cues are placed in a small line under the wrestler. The grappling is easier and the button configuration seems a bit more fluid. There is the Road To Wrestlemania feature again as well as a new build your own storyline. It is limited but it is new and will probably be developed over the next few years but its a good start.

It was worth the $40 list price but now with the price drop its even more bang for your buck. Gamers may want to rent or try out 2011 before making a new purchase. The 2010 edition is worthy of years of play. Its fun, creative, and great looking. Also (and this is a small thing) the cover art for this edition is the best designed. It would make a great poster in itself. For WWE fans or gamers looking for their first wrestling game, go with this one.

Summary: "wwe smackdown vs. raw 2010 review (psp)"

Hey everbody i'm Trevor and i'm going to review smackdown vs. raw 2010 for the psp. ok one problem with the psp verison is the create a superstar. you dont hav that may choises like in the 360. and when you do make a superstar there are no good name to pick from they have stuff like hero, superstar oh wait its the superstar what freak would us the superstar came on give us somme THQ. ok next bad thing when you are in the ring fighting some times when i did a move they were not even touching them like wtf i have some sort of power. ok on to the good the story designer mode is alsome altho i wish i could create a story faster but i good for right now the road to wrlemania storys are great. i wont bust the story lines for you but this games get a 7.5 out of 10 if you love the wwe you should get this game.

Summary: "Worst Controls Ever"

Just bought this game when the price dropped. Played it for three hours and will probably not play it ever again. The controls are complete crap and have only gotten worse each year since this game came out on wii. 08 controls were hard to get the hang of but were great after learning them, Then 09 not so much. But this game takes the cake it does not use the motion capture features of the remote at all and so the characters basically continually execute the same one move over and over. Lack of clear HUD makes it impossible to know whats going on and game play is very very slow as well as reaction time to the controller. for all the cool stuff they packed into this game they forgot to make it playable. SD VS. RAW 2011 will be the last chance for this franchise as far as I'm concerned better be playable and cool ....
